BioCompounds UK supplies research-grade lyophilised peptides and associated laboratory consumables to verified researchers and institutions within the United Kingdom. All products are sold strictly for in vitro laboratory research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary use.
Because of the specialised and perishable nature of our products, our returns and refunds policy reflects both your statutory rights under UK consumer law and the practical constraints of handling biological research reagents.

Your Statutory Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving your goods and receive a full refund. However, the Regulations contain a specific exemption for goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (Regulation 28(1)(c)). Lyophilised peptides, biological reference materials, bacteriostatic water, and other perishable research reagents fall within this exemption.
Accordingly, research peptides and consumable reagents cannot be returned or refunded simply because you have changed your mind, no longer require the product, or ordered the wrong variant — unless the item arrives damaged, incorrectly supplied, or fails to meet the specification stated on the product page.
This exemption does not apply to non-perishable accessories such as injection pens, pen needles, syringes, and packaging materials, which retain the standard 14-day cancellation right as described below.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged in transit, is defective, or does not match what you ordered, you are entitled to a replacement or full refund regardless of product type. Please:
- Contact us at service@biocompoundsuk.com within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include your order number, a description of the issue, and — where possible — photographs of the outer packaging and the product itself.
- Do not discard the original packaging until the matter is resolved.
We will assess your report and, if upheld, arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you. Where the item must be returned, we will provide a prepaid returns label.
Missing Items or Incomplete Orders
If an item is missing from your order, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at service@biocompoundsuk.com with your order number and details of what was missing. We will investigate and dispatch the missing item or issue a refund for the affected line promptly.
Non-Perishable Accessories — 14-Day Cancellation Right
For non-perishable accessories (injection pens, pen needles, syringes, and similar items), you may cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods without giving a reason. To exercise this right:
- Notify us by email at service@biocompoundsuk.com before the 14-day period expires, clearly stating your intention to cancel and your order number.
- Return the item unused, in its original condition and packaging, within 14 days of notifying us.
- Return postage is at your own cost unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a full refund (excluding original delivery charges, unless the entire order is cancelled) within 14 days, using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Peptide Research Reagents — Non-Returnable Except as Described Above
The following product types are non-returnable and non-refundable except where they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied:
- All lyophilised peptide products (including single-compound peptides, composite blends, and reference materials)
- Bacteriostatic water and other liquid reagents
- Any product that has been opened, reconstituted, or otherwise used
- Products ordered in error (wrong variant, wrong quantity)
- Products where the 48-hour damage/defect reporting window has passed without notification

Quality Guarantee
Every peptide dispatched by BioCompounds UK is manufactured to a minimum 99%+ purity verified by HPLC, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (CoA). If you have concerns about the purity or integrity of a product after reviewing your CoA, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the matter.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of the refund being authorised. Funds will be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your card issuer or payment provider.
