Bacteriostatic Water 0.9%
0.9% Benzyl Alcohol · 10ml Multi-Dose Vial
Bacteriostatic Water is the standard reconstitution solution for lyophilised research peptides. The addition of 0.9% benzyl alcohol inhibits the growth of bacteria and microorganisms, allowing the vial to be accessed multiple times over an extended period without compromising sterility — a critical advantage over single-use sterile water in multi-dose research protocols. Compatible with the full range of research peptides including GLP-1 agonists, growth factors, repair peptides, and melanocortin analogues, it is an essential ancillary for any laboratory working with lyophilised compounds.
Why It Matters
Preserves Sterility Across Multiple Draws
The 0.9% benzyl alcohol concentration actively inhibits bacterial and fungal growth after each needle penetration — allowing the same vial to be accessed repeatedly over weeks without contamination risk, making it the only appropriate diluent for multi-dose peptide research protocols.
Compatible with All Lyophilised Research Peptides
Formulated to reconstitute the full spectrum of research peptides — including GLP-1 agonists, GIP agonists, amylin analogues, growth factors, melanocortin peptides, and repair compounds — without affecting peptide stability, potency, or solubility.
Extends Reconstituted Peptide Shelf Life
Peptides reconstituted in bacteriostatic water and stored at 2–8°C remain stable for up to 4 weeks — significantly longer than those reconstituted in plain sterile water. This stability window is essential for research programmes requiring consistent, repeatable dosing over extended timeframes.
Sterile & Pyrogen-free for Research Confidence
Manufactured to sterile and pyrogen-free standards, eliminating endotoxin contamination risk that could confound experimental results. The rubber-sealed, flip-top vial maintains integrity between draws and is designed for use with standard research syringes.
10ml Capacity for Precise, Flexible Dosing
The 10ml vial provides ample volume to reconstitute peptides to a range of concentrations — giving researchers full control over dosing precision. A standard benchmark is 1ml per 1mg of peptide to yield a 1mg/ml solution, though concentration can be adjusted freely to suit the protocol.
General Reconstitution Guide
Step 1
Allow both the peptide vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature before reconstitution.
Step 2
Draw the desired volume of bacteriostatic water into a clean research syringe and inject slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial — do not inject directly onto the powder.
Step 3
Gently swirl — never shake — until the powder is fully dissolved. Store the reconstituted solution at 2–8°C and use within 4 weeks.
