Synergy in Recovery:
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin
Unlock a more complete hormonal response by combining the steady release of GHRH with the targeted pulses of GHRP — the research stack of choice.
Understanding the Difference
Two distinct mechanisms — one targeting the baseline, one targeting the pulse.
CJC-1295
Acts as a Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) mimic. Its primary role is to provide a steady, constant signal to the pituitary gland, raising the baseline of GH production over time.
Ipamorelin
A selective Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide (GHRP). It triggers natural, powerful pulses of GH release without significant cortisol or prolactin side effects seen in older peptides.
Why Researchers Combine Them
When used alone, you only target one side of the pituitary’s mechanism. Together, they mimic the body’s natural “Blast and Sustain” rhythm — the steady GHRH signal primes the pituitary while Ipamorelin delivers the amplified pulse, producing a significantly more effective outcome than either alone.
A Simpler Approach to Research
Managing multiple vials increases dosing error risk and contamination. Pre-blended composites keep the GHRH to GHRP ratio fixed in every preparation.

What the Published Research Shows
Peer-reviewed studies behind the GHRH + GHRP rationale.
| Study | What it found |
|---|---|
| 1984 — The first GHRP | Bowers and colleagues described a synthetic hexapeptide (GHRP-6) that released growth hormone by acting directly on the pituitary.1 |
| 1990 — GHRH + GHRP synergy | In healthy men, a GHRP stimulated GH release and acted synergistically with GHRH — the combined response exceeded the sum of each alone. This is the scientific basis for pairing the two classes.2 |
| 1998 — Ipamorelin selectivity | Ipamorelin released GH with potency similar to GHRP-6 but, unlike earlier GHRPs, without raising ACTH or cortisol.3 |
| 2005–2006 — CJC-1295 | CJC-1295 was designed to bind serum albumin. In healthy adults a single injection raised GH for six days or more and IGF-1 for 9–11 days, and pulsatile GH secretion was preserved.4–6 |
| 2014 — Ipamorelin in the clinic | A randomised proof-of-concept trial of ipamorelin for postoperative ileus did not show a significant benefit over placebo on its primary endpoint.7 |
Evidence Quality & Limitations
GHRH–GHRP synergy for acute GH release is well documented, but it was shown with earlier GHRPs and native GHRH. No published human study has tested CJC-1295 together with ipamorelin, and published CJC-1295 data concern the DAC form rather than the no-DAC variant. Downstream outcomes often attributed to the pairing — fat loss, sleep quality, tissue recovery and bone density — have not been demonstrated for this combination in controlled studies, and there is no published evidence for an optimal blend ratio. A 2018 review of GH secretagogues found they reliably raise GH and IGF-1 but that long-term efficacy and safety data are limited.8

Expert FAQ
Which is better for fat loss research?
While both contribute, the combination is superior. CJC-1295 handles the metabolic baseline, while Ipamorelin triggers the pulses that facilitate lipolysis. The synergistic effect is well documented in research literature.
Do they need to be combined?
They don’t have to be, but research suggests GHRH and GHRP are synergistic — the total effect is greater than the sum of its parts. Most researchers prefer the combination for this reason.
Why use a pre-blended formulation?
Blends offer convenience, reduced contamination risk, and ensure the exact scientific ratio required for pituitary saturation without manual measurement or multiple reconstitutions.
